VOC catalyst: A green tool for industrial waste gas purification
VOC (volatile organic matter) catalysts play a key role in the treatment of industrial waste gas, and are widely used in chemical, painting, printing and other industries. This catalyst with precious metal or transition metal oxides as the active component can convert harmful organic waste gas into harmless carbon dioxide and water, and achieve complete purification of waste gas.
In the painting shop, VOC catalysts treat spray paint exhaust gas by catalytic combustion technology. When the waste gas containing benzene, toluene and other organic matter passes through the catalyst bed, oxidation occurs at a temperature of 250-400℃ and is converted into harmless substances. The special structure of the catalyst provides a huge specific surface area, enabling the reaction efficiency to reach more than 95%, while significantly reducing the processing temperature, and saving more than 40% of energy compared to direct combustion.
In the chemical industry, VOC catalysts are used to treat difficult-to-degrade waste gases such as chlorinated organics. By optimizing the catalyst formulation, the resistance to chlorine poisoning was improved and the service life was prolonged. After a chemical plant adopts this technology, the annual emission reduction of VOCs reaches 500 tons, while recycling heat energy for production, achieving a win-win situation of environmental benefits and economic benefits.
